Make sure you buy accredited carbon credits!

The Australian Institute for Carbon Trading only trades in carbon credits that have come from abatement companies that are accredited under the Greenhouse Friendly Approved Abatement program by the Australia Federal Government (see www.greenhouse.gov.au).

Our carbon credits are verified and audited emission reduction units (expressed in tonnes of CO2-e) and come from projects that reduce emissions below business-as-usual levels. The Australia Greenhouse Friendly Approved Abatement scheme is consistent with UNFCCC and Kyoto Protocol Guidelines on the measurement and calculation of GHG emissions.
