There are a number of levels of certification for businesses, when it comes to becoming ‘green’.
The Australian Institute for Carbon Trading currently offers our Carbon Friendly certification, which is a full carbon offset accreditation. This accreditation involves a simple calculation of the greenhouse gas emissions of your business. The calculator will inform you how many carbon credits are required to eliminate your business’ impact on the environment. We will then assist you in purchasing those carbon credits from accredited companies involved in planting trees and employing energy reducing technology. Each business achieving Carbon Friendly status will be listed on our website, and will receive an accreditation logo to display on their website and promotional material.

Coming soon: Carbon Neutral certification. This is a highly level of certification, which is more personalized that our Carbon Friendly calculation. We will consult with your business, prepare an audit to assist you in reducing your business’ running costs and carbon output, and finally eliminate any remaining emissions by assisting your business to purchase the necessary carbon credits.
